Welcome to the simple website of Ewige Sorge, german for Eternal Sorrow. The story is linear and complex all at once, and the player is forced to solve one giant enigma, or try to atleast. To sum up the game, for those of you who only want a brief analysis of the game mechanics and/or storyline, it goes something like this:

In October 2004, the quiet town of Garandal, Massachusetts went quiet. In events shrouded in mystery, the citizens and tourists have all disappeared. Boats that once yielded workers are now silently floating, awaiting the return of their occupents. Streets that were once bustling with commerce--citizen and tourist alike--are now baron; a calm sea of cement waiting for the first ripples of the day.

As the sun rises on this modern ghost town, the thick fog disperses, revealing a gruesome sight not told even in the nightmarish minds. Bodies--men, women, children--lay on in the streets brutally beaten, half eaten, or dismembered. Once shining clear windows of shops, drenched with a tint of red or a splash of gore. There is a sadness in Garandal, a sadness of some enigma that cannot be solved, some event that happened at some point in time, that caused all of this. Souls in an eternal bondage, waiting for the warden the release them.

As the sun sets, the fog returns, and out of it comes thousands of questions. The bodies; scenes of gore and brutality, are now gone. Once again, the empty streets of Garandal are empty.

In the night, the mystery will be solved, for if the day breaks, who knows what will occur? You have come to Garandal from some perpose--vacation, passing through, returning home--and you must discover the truth. Is your mind prepared? Is your body ready for the onslaught of emmotions you will undergo? Can you diferentiate between reality and the distorted?

That is the bases for Ewige Sorge. Your character goes on a mission to solve the mystery, and he or she will be lead through a deathly labrynth of mystery, betrayel, fright, and more. To give you an idea of how the game is run, it is much like Silent Hill (series) in terms of weapons. You enter the town with no such thing, though a small knife or measly handgun is ok if it suits your character.
